LOS ANGELES, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- Brad Pitt, Hugh Jackman and Johnny Depp were among the People's Choice Award nominees announced in Los Angeles Tuesday.

They will compete for the favorite movie actor prize against Ryan Reynolds and Robert Pattinson.

Brad Pitt took a fall off a motorcyle in Los Angeles Saturday morning. The actor was driving through Hollywood on his prized new machine -- seen in this photograph taken just hours earlier -- when the incident occured.

Pitt was reportedly hit from behind by a photographer. That put Brad just enough off balance that he then rear-ended a car in front of him as he tried to put distance between himself and the errant pap.

Pitt and his bike went down. Fortunately Brad did not appear to be injured and he pulled his motorcyle to the side of the street. An assistant picked him up a few minutes later.

After the accident...

Following the frightening but fortunately minor motorcyle spill that Brad Pitt took Saturday morning in Los Angeles, the actor was as cool as one of his movie characters as he dealt with the aftermath.

Brad carefully checked out the damage to his brand new chopper, politely chatted with some fans who offered assistance and made arrangements to get his chopper trucked home.

Brad was reportedly accidentally clipped by a photographer's car. In his maneuver to ger away from it, he rear-ended a car in front ot him. That sent Brad and his bike to the asphalt.

Even though the incident wasn't Pitt's fault, he naturally did the right thing and exchanged insurance info with the driver he collided with. Source

Director Terrence Malick’s The Tree of Life was set to be released in December of this year, but has been pushed back to sometime in 2010. The chief of the film’s distributor, Bob Burney, said that the original release date was -

"Wishful. It’s definitely not going to come out this year."

Malick has spent over a year editing the picture, which stars Sean Penn and Brad Pitt. Pitt was previously attached to Darren Aronofsky’s The Fountain, a film which explored similar themes, before the budget decreased and the roles that were once Pitt’s and Cate Blanchett’s went to Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz. Pitt and Blanchett did eventually unite to make Babel andThe Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and Pitt went on to make a Tree of Life movie anyway, so everyone got what they wanted in the end! Source
